Supplier Diversity Spotlight: Touré Carter
When SJW’s Tim McLaughlin met now-TM Carter Co. CEO Touré Carter at the Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce conference last year, it was the perfect example of “right place, right time.” As SJW’s Director of Supplier Diversity, Tim regularly speaks at events like these to educate local minority-owned business owners on processes for getting certified and winning contracts with large companies like SJW. They are also great networking opportunities, as Touré discovered during a break between sessions.

West Valley Residents to Receive Groundwater Temporarily
Valley Water’s Rinconada Water Treatment Plant is undergoing planned construction and maintenance work from March 12ththrough March 19th, 2019. During this period, SJW will deliver groundwater to customers located to the south of Stevens Creek and to the west of Highways 880 and 17.

Lake Ranch Improvement Project
Nestled in Sanborn County Park, in the Santa Cruz Mountains southeast of San Jose, lies Lake Ranch - a 70 million gallon water storage reservoir owned and operated by San Jose Water. You’re probably aware that there are many lakes in the Santa Cruz mountains, but did you know that this reservoir was constructed 144 years ago? It was originally built to meet the growing water demand for the town of Los Gatos.
