Security and Business Resiliency Intern

We are actively seeking talented, driven and highly-productive applicants for the position of Security and Business Resiliency Intern to join our dynamic team on a temporary 6 month basis. We offer a challenging and rewarding work environment along with a competitive hourly rate between $17.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on the incumbent’s knowledge, skills and abilities.

General Description

Under the general direction of the Manager of Security & Business Resiliency, the Business Resiliency Intern participates in a structured program designed to provide the incumbent with experience in many aspects of utility security, emergency planning and management. Incumbent will be tasked with performing audits all components in SJW Security Program for WAM system, spearheading emergency related communication and outreach, assist with development of flow charts, mind maps and document development and other special projects as needed to support SJW's business operation.

Job Requirements

The student must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, be at a Sophomore, Junior or Senior or Graduate level in their school’s Environmental, Management, Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or Emergency Management programs and be available to work between 15 - 40 hours per week. Must be fluent in all Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio. Qualified applicants should be self-starters and possess the ability to think independently when problem solving.

Must possess a valid California driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record.

 

 

Education and Experience
