Water Shutoff Moratorium May End
We understand that COVID has created a very difficult time for many of our customers, and we’re here to help.
Although we are not shutting off water service due to non-payment at this time, the emergency period may end in the next few months. The California Public Utilities Commission has advised SJW that the shutoff moratorium may end as early as July 1, 2021. This means you will need to pay your bill.
- Flexible and extended no-interest payment plans, and
- WRAP (Water Rate Assistance Program) provides a 15% discount off total water bill for eligible low-income customers
- A list of local resources that can provide further assistance. Both rent and utility bill assistance can be found online at Housing is Key or by calling (833) 430-2122.
Even paying a little bit of your bill periodically will reduce the balance due and make getting back to “normal” easier when the shutoff moratorium ends.
We accept credit and debit cards, along with other electronic payments. Please call Customer Service at (408) 279-7900.
