Job Title: SCADA REPLACEMENT PROJECT INTERN (Full Time, Temporary)
San Jose Water Company is currently accepting applications for an SCADA Replacement Project Intern. Working under the guidance of the Project Manager, the SCADA Replacement Project Intern will create HMI (Human Machine Interface) screens for a GUI (Graphical User Interface) for our SCADA system. These graphical and tabular type screens are used to control and monitor our water distribution system. San Jose Water Company will provide an overview of the tasks to be performed and a demonstration of the software tool set.
STUDENT PREREQUISITES / REQUIREMENTS:
The program is designed to parallel, as much as possible, the needs and requirements of the internship programs of local universities, as well as to provide an opportunity to become a productive resource for the SJWC IS Department. The student must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, have CAD Drafting, Graphic Design or Drafting Design experience, be a quick learner and diligent worker; VB Programming or Web Design experience is also helpful but not necessarily required. Must be available to work 40 hours per week for a 3 month period.
This internship assignment is expected to last approximately three months in duration.
