Rebates & Incentives

 

The following is a list of rebate programs offered to San Jose Water Company customers via the Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD). For more information on all of the SCVWD rebate programs, please go to: http://www.valleywater.org/programs/waterconservation.aspx

 

Residential Indoor Rebate Programs:
  • High Efficiency Clothes Washer Rebate Program: The SCVWD is partnering with PG&E to offer a combined water and energy rebate of up to $125 for qualifying high-efficiency clothes washers.
  • High Efficiency Toilet (HET) Rebate Program: San Jose Water Company customers are eligible for a rebate of up to $125 per toilet for replacing old, high water-use toilets that use 3.5 gallons per flush or more, with a new HET from the approved list of qualifying models.
 
Residential Outdoor Rebate Programs:
  • Landscape Rebate Program: The Landscape Rebate Program provides rebates for home owners, HOAs, businesses, and institutions that increase their outdoor water use efficiency by replacing qualifying high water use landscape and/or upgrading to qualifying high efficiency irrigation equipment. This new program is a result of combining and streamlining several landscape rebate programs into one program in order to increase program effectiveness. To qualify sites must participate in a pre-inspection prior to beginning their project or purchasing materials that they would like to receive rebates for. Rebate Programs for Commercial Customers:
  • Landscape Survey Program: This program provides landscape surveys for commercial sites with 5,000 sq ft or more of irrigated landscape. The survey includes site specific recommendations for increasing system efficiency, distribution uniformity testing, analysis of potential water/costs savings, as well qualifies sites to participate in the Landscape Rebate Program.   • Commercial Clothes Washer Rebate Program: The SCVWD offers rebates of up to $400 per unit on approved purchased and leased high-efficiency washing machines for common-area laundry rooms and laundromats.
  • WET Program: The SCVWD is offering rebates of up to $50,000 per water conservation project to commercial, industrial, and institutional water customers for the implementation of process and equipment changes which reduce business water usage.
  • Landscape Rebate Program: The Landscape Rebate Program provides rebates for home owners and businesses that increase their outdoor water use efficiency by replacing high water use landscape and/or upgrading to high efficiency irrigation equipment.   • Commercial and Multi-family direct install High Efficiency Toilet Program: This program allows for high efficiency toilets to be installed free of charge for commercial and multi-family (4-plex or greater) properties. The new toilets are installed only for the replacement of older high volume toilets that use 3.5 gallons per flush or greater.
