Listing of Emergency Shutdowns:
There are no emergency shutdowns in the our service area at this time.
Underground water mains sometimes fail and begin to leak. A sudden main rupture may require the main to be taken out of service to make necessary repairs.
When a serious main break occurs, the water is shut down immediately without notice to prevent further damage to streets and personal property and to limit the amount of water loss. The customer may experience "low" pressure or "no water" at all. The duration of repairs varies with each incident. Bottled water will be provided at customer request. Contact Customer Service at (408)279-7900 for Emergency Shutdown information.
When service is restored, you may experience an uneven or pulsating stream of water from your faucets or fixtures when you first use them. This situation is usually caused by a small amount of air that has been trapped in your plumbing lines and will resolve itself after a few minutes through normal water usage.
