Water Flow Design Information |

San Jose Water Company will supply water flow design information for all projects within its service area. The information is produced using hydraulic modeling software. This information is used by individuals, contractors and insurance companies for purpose of designing irrigation and fire sprinkler systems. Design information is also used by the local fire jurisdictions in determining if adequate fire protection is available from existing fire hydrants for new and remodel projects.
To obtain water flow design information, fax a request to 408-279-7889. You can also e-mail your request to: engineering_dept@sjwater.com. Please include all of the following:
 Requestor's name
Company name if applicable, company mailing address, and phone number
Street name and address of the project
Nearest cross street to that location
A sketch map of where the flow information is requested
Flow availability requests take 5-10 business days to process and are handled in the order they are received. You will be notified by mail of our computer-simulated results. If requested, the results can also be faxed if you leave your fax number.
If you are inquiring on the status of a previous request or unable to fax the information, you can call 408-279-7800 extension 5859. Please leave your name, location of the request and your phone number. An Engineering Department Representative will call you.
Information for existing fire hydrants requested by fire jurisdictions, please include any and all comments on the Santa Clara County Land Use Comments and Requirements form.
