Another Successful Rebuilding Together Project of SJWC

San Jose Water Company's Rebuilding Together efforts experienced a burst of employee involvement in 2007, making it one of the most successful rebuilding projects in recent years. Over 50 employees contributed their time, skills and experience in renovating and updating the home of a long time San Jose resident. Led by project leaders, Danny Vierra, Bob Bohdanowicz and Dave Burns, the repairs included exterior and interior painting, installation of a new shower, linoleum, fixtures, replacement of a wooden shed with a new donated one, fence replacement and many additional improvements. Donations from several San Jose Water Company contractors allowed the company to once again go beyond the scope of the original project.

Employee participation soared this year with several first-time volunteers assisting veteran old-timers for an excellent turnout. Even though many volunteers were tired and worn out at the end of the two weekends, they walked away feeling pride in knowing that they contributed to making someone's home a better place to live.
