MACSA Resource Fair

San Jose Water Company participated in the Mexican American Community Services Agency's (MACSA) Resource Fair this summer. More than 200 young people and their parents turned out for the event August 23, which was held at the MACSA Youth Center.

Water Conservation Supervisor Melania Corbin spoke on the importance of using water efficiently. Speaking in both English and Spanish, Melania asked conservation-related questions of the youths, and when they didn't believe an answer, the children were eager to look it up in their new activity books provided by SJWC.

Water Conservation Inspector Rene Morales was in charge of operating SJWC's popular raingutter regatta. There was a constant line of enthusiastic kids waiting for their turn at racing the wooden boats.

All in all, it was a fun filled day that promoted community unity and awareness.
