| San Jose Water Company kicked off the holiday season with its annual entry in the Los Gatos Children's Christmas and Holiday Parade. To live up to last year's popular The Grinch Who Stole Christmas float, this year's entry had to be bigger and better, and it was. For 2007, SJWC employees became the lovable characters of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Riding on the float that was masterfully built by Brian Impey and Dave Franks were Charlie Brown (Justin Smith), Lucy (Dru Redwine), Sally (Amanda Brown), Linus (Matt Mortenson) and Shroeder (Kyle Gleed). The Peanuts costumes were the handiwork of Karen Juliano, who had help from parade committee members Melissa Maben, Dave Burns, Deann Boyd and Andy Gere. Frank Wenks put the spit polish on our new 12 yard dump truck, which he piloted along the parade route with the float in tow, to the sounds the familiar Charlie Brown theme music playing in the background. The float was well received by the estimated 12,000 spectators, and everyone involved had a great time.
